How to Save Bookmarks From Anywhere

Three ways to save a bookmark

Recallio gives you three ways to save a bookmark, depending on the device and browser you're using. Each one takes less than five seconds.

Option 1: Browser extension (fastest)

The browser extension works on Chrome and Firefox on desktop. Once installed, saving a page takes one click - or a keyboard shortcut if you prefer.

Install the extension:

1. Go to the Chrome Web Store or Firefox Add-ons and search for "Recallio"
2. Click Add to Chrome or Add to Firefox
3. Log into your Recallio account inside the extension popup
4. Done - you're ready to save

To save a page:

• Click the Recallio icon in your browser toolbar, or
• Press Ctrl+Shift+Y (Windows/Linux) or Cmd+Shift+Y (Mac)

The popup opens, lets you pick a collection and add tags, then saves in under a second.

Right-click to save a link:

You don't have to open a page to save it. Right-click any link on a page and choose Save to Recallio from the context menu.

Option 2: Bookmarklet (works on any browser or device)

The bookmarklet is a small piece of JavaScript you drag to your bookmarks bar. It works on any browser - Safari, Edge, mobile browsers - anywhere the extension isn't available.

Get your bookmarklet:

1. Go to Settings → Bookmarklet in your Recallio account
2. Drag the ★ Save to Recallio button to your bookmarks bar
3. That's it - the bookmarklet is installed

To save a page:

Click the bookmarklet in your bookmarks bar. A small save panel opens on top of the current page. Pick a collection, add tags if you want, and click Save.

On mobile:

Mobile browsers don't let you drag to a bookmarks bar. Instead:

1. Go to Settings → Bookmarklet and tap Copy code
2. Bookmark any page in your mobile browser
3. Edit that bookmark and paste the copied code as the URL
4. Give it a name like "Save to Recallio"

Now it appears in your bookmarks, ready to use on any page.

Option 3: Manual add from the web app

If you want to save a URL you don't have open - one you've copied from somewhere else - you can add it directly in the Recallio web app.

1. Open recallio.co.uk/app
2. Click the + Add button at the top of any bookmark list
3. Paste the URL, choose a collection, and click Save

Recallio fetches the page title automatically, so you don't need to type it.
