Recallio v2.18 - What's New
Recallio's latest update adds visit tracking, a top links strip, one-click collection cloning, and faster blog publishing.
Recallio's right-click menu now nests subcollections, hides empty folders, and surfaces your most-visited bookmarks instantly.
Right-clicking to browse your saved bookmarks used to mean scrolling past folders you never use, with subcollections nowhere to be found. Recallio's right-click menu just got smarter: it nests subcollections properly, hides anything empty, and adds a top links submenu so your most-visited bookmarks are always within reach.
Three things changed. Subcollections now show up nested under their parent instead of being invisible. Empty collections and subcollections no longer clutter the list. And a new Top links submenu surfaces your five most-visited bookmarks, right at the top of the menu.
Right-clicking any page still opens Recallio > Collections, the same as before. Now, if a collection has subcollections, they appear as their own nested menu underneath it. Hover into a subcollection and its bookmarks show up directly, just like a top-level collection always has.
Empty folders are also gone. A collection only appears in the menu if it has bookmarks, or if at least one of its subcollections does. Nothing sits there disabled with nothing to click.
Top links works the same way it does on the web app. It ranks your bookmarks by how often and how recently you have opened them, so the ones you actually use rise to the top. The submenu stays hidden until you have built up enough visit history for it to be useful.
The right-click menu is meant to be a shortcut, not another place to search. Fewer empty folders and a one-click path to your most-used links mean less scrolling and faster access to what you actually reach for. Subcollections being visible at all means nothing you have organised is out of reach anymore.
These changes are live now for everyone using the Recallio extension on Chrome and Firefox. Right-click any page to see the updated Collections menu and your new Top links submenu.
Install the Recallio extension or sign in to Recallio if you already have it.
